- Establishing a development plan—including potential demonstrators, development testing, and/or subcontracting - to meet the technical and programmatic requirements of the assigned work package
- Contributing to requirement definition for structural systems and sub-systems
- Defining preliminary architecture and design, including pre-sizing and theanticipatedmanufacturing methods
- Working with mechanical performance and production engineers to refine the design, expected performance, and manufacturability
- Coordinating with other system owners to ensure smooth integration
- Documenting acceptance and qualification criteria
- Providing active support during manufacturing and testing phases

Basic Qualification
- Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field
- 5–8 years of relevant, diversified experience in mechanical design
- Extensive experience with carbon-fibercomposite materials, including sizing principles, failure modes, and manufacturing processes
- Solid theoretical understanding and hands-on experience with structural adhesives
- A proactive mindset with a strong drive for continuous improvement
- A pragmatic approach to development, with the ability to adapt to program constraints
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluency in English
Desired Experience
- Design and sizing of sandwich structures
- Experience with prepreg systems and composite robotic manufacturing (filament winding or automated fiber placement)
- Use cases and limitations of NDI technologies
- Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter
